Journey from Illness to Wellness

In the remote Eastern part of Nepal, lies a community school with more than 200 students. The entire school was suffering from contaminated water. The students and the school staff used to drink water straight from a nearby stream. Many children suffered from waterborne diseases like diarrhoea, dysentery, and even cholera.

Bishal Regmi, a kind-hearted man who grew up in the same village and once studied in the same school, saw the problems the students were facing. He had heard about Mero Pariwar and our work. So he reached out to us and shared their story.

Hearing this, we instantly visited the school, saw the challenges with our own eyes, and decided to help. We then installed a water purification system, “Hub 4134” and taught them how to use it. They started using it regularly.

Everything changed after that. The children and teachers are drinking clean, safe water every day. Their health has improved. Since then, the students’ number is growing, and in the new academic year, 248 students have joined the school. Some time ago, we made a follow-up call to the school and they shared with us that the system is running well. They are thankful to Mero Pariwar and New Life International for the safe water.
