Relief Work at Jajarkot

In early November 2023, a strong earthquake hit Jajarkot district in Western Nepal. It destroyed hundreds of homes and claimed many lives. According to reports, over 500 families were affected by the earthquake. People were left in the cold with no shelter, food, medicine or clean water. As soon as the disaster took place, our team decided to move to Jajarkot with the supplies. We called the district administration office and asked about what items were urgently needed. We purchased the supplies and moved to Jajarkot. After three days, we reached the most affected areas with emergency support.

We provided the people with clean drinking water by installing tanks and pipes. We gave out critical medicines, tarpaulins, clothes and blankets to help families stay safe and warm at night. We shared food and hygiene items to care for basic needs. And because there was no electricity, we brought solar lights to lit up the area.

Our team stayed in the field for four days and provided critical support to more than 500 households.
